This is the best team of medical staff I have been around in a long time. I am writing to thank your entire staff for the excellent care received during my visits to your office last year and again yesterday. Abby and the rest of the staff at the Hand Surgery Specialists Buccaneer location are caring, courteous, and wonderful. They take time with you to know all the need to help you. Dr. Maximos performed carpal tunnel surgery on both my hands last year. It was nothing less than a miracle, as I was hurting constantly and unable to sleep for years! I am almost at 100% now and sleeping like a baby! I can't begin to thank you all enough for the quality of life you've given back to me!! God bless you all!!! ~ Amelia L

Dr. Baher Maximos is a very confident Hand Surgeon. He asks the right questions and listens keenly to his patient. He was kind, humble, patient and detailed in preparing me for the surgical procedure and what to expect through the follow up. I had my left carpal tunnel surgery done, 10 days ago and have minimal pain and have 90%+ strength recovered. I plan on getting my right carpal tunnel surgery done as soon as possible. I reviewed a lot of hand doctors before deciding to go to two different ones for my medical need. I feel like I need to share my findings with everyone maybe it would help them make a decision as I initially had no clue how to decide on which doctor to see. I read google, and other reviews but here’s what I found out first hand. I saw Dr. Maximos and couldn’t be happier. He is very nice, calm and knowledgeable. He has explained everything in details and made sure I understand my options and my concerns. They only drawback is that he is soft spoken. The other doctor I saw was very rushed. Just spent two minutes with me and said I needed this treatment. He went on to say that he is the best and talked to me like he was doing me a favor. I believe that in 2019, this behavior is not acceptable by a doctor. I am so glad I listened to my gut feeling and went somewhere else. Going back and reading his reviews after, it’s clear that the positive reviews are fake. I depend on my hand so I was kinda obsessed with getting the best treatment which I can say that I did ~ Edward T

I brought my teenage son here after he injured his finger playing basketball. The staff was great with him—very patient and good at explaining things in a way he could understand. They gave us clear next steps and didn’t pressure us into anything. He ended up needing a procedure, and it went perfectly. His recovery was fast and he’s already back on the court.
